CYSTAT aims to provide high quality statistical information in an objective, transparent, reliable and timely manner.

ACTIONS

CYSTAT's main strategic goal derives from the usefulness and importance of statistical information. For this reason, our main concern is the wider and more complete satisfaction of the needs of users in statistical data. Therefore, CYSTAT directs its work towards:

• Satisfying the needs of users due to the fact that statistics are utilized by them, in decision making and research. Also, the same statistics are used by different users and therefore should be given in such a way that they can serve the needs of all.
• The need to promote the timely collection and publication of good quality statistical data.
• The need to maintain the continuity and comparability of the data compiled.
• Ensuring the confidentiality of individual data, impartiality and objectivity as prerequisites for reliable statistics.
• The application of both international and European statistical principles, methods and practices.

PRIORITIES

Every year there are specific actions that CYSTAT prioritizes for the implementation of its objectives. During the current year, CYSTAT will continue with the implementation of the annual work program, promoting actions that contribute to the implementation of its strategic goal of providing high quality statistical information in an objective, transparent, reliable and timely manner.
