Analysis and presentation of the latest demographic developments. This includes, among others, indicators regarding the total population by month and end-year population estimates by five-year age groups, birth statistics and fertility indicators, death statistics and mortality indicators, data on marriages, divorces and migration and other demographic indicators.
Collection and processing of data from various sources takes place on a continuous basis. Ecclesiastical marriages are recorded from the registers at the ecclesiastical districts and civil marriages are obtained from the Minsitry of Interior. Information on divorces is obtained from family courts records. Additionally, administrative data from the Civil Registry and Migration Department are obtained and processed for the compilation of the relevant demographic indicators.

Demographic statistics are published on an annual basis on CYSTAT's web portal, in the form of predefined tables and electronic publications. Customisable tables are also available on CYSTAT's online database, CYSTAT-DB (statistical subtheme: Population). Additionally, data are sent and published on Eurostat's website.
The data are comparable over time.
