Information is provided for gross fixed capital formation by type of asset and by economic activity, at current prices, at volume measures (constant prices) base year 2010 and at Previous Year Prices.
Statistical data by type of asset are collected from:- The results of the annual financial surveys conducted by the Statistical Service of Cyprus (e.g. Industry Survey, Construction Survey, Wholesale and Retail Trade Survey, Services Survey, Innovation Survey, Research and Development, Building Permits Survey),- Foreign Trade Section of the Statistical Service, for imports and exports of ships and aircrafts,- Central Bank of Cyprus, for imports and exports of capital goods,- Goverment Finance Statistics Section, for the General Government sector.
The statistical data for GFCF cover all economic activities based on NACE Rev.2 classification system and according to the methodology for the estimation of GFCF in national accounts based on the European System of Accounts 2010 (ESA 2010).
The statistical data for GFCF are produced on an annual basis.
The statistical data for GFCF are available in electronic form on the Statistical Service website and on the Eurostat website. Statistical time series are available from 1995 until the last year that data is available.
The data are comparable over time.
The main categories of assets which are analysed by economic activity NACE Rev.2 are:- Buildings and structures,- Dwellings,- Other buildings and structures,- Machinery and equimpent,- Transport equipment,- Cultivated biological resources,- Intellectual property products.
