Balance-sheets for Non-Financial Assets

Information is provided for the balance sheets of non-financial assets. Balance sheets are presented by type of asset for the total economy and by institutional sector.

The calculation of the capital stock of non-financial assets is based on the estimates of the Perpetual Inventory Method. The assumptions used in this model for the valuation of assets are analyzed by type of asset.

The balance sheets for non-financial assets cover all institutional sectors and the main categories of assets, based on the European System of Accounts 2010 (ESA 2010).

The statistical data for balance sheets of non-financial assets are produced on an annual basis.

Statistics on balance sheets for non-financial assets are available in electronic form on the Statistical Service website and on the Eurostat website. Statistical time series are available from 2012 until the last year that data is available.

The data are comparable over time.

The main categories of non-financial assets are:
- Fixed assets by type of assets (total),
- Dwellings,
- Other buildings and structures,
- Buildings other than dwellings,
- Other structures,
- Machinery and equipment,
- Cultivated biological resources,
- Intellectual property products,
- Inventories by type of inventory,
- Land.

The publication of data is presented by institutional sector based on the European System of Accounts 2010 (ESA 2010).
