This classification system refers to the statistical codes and the classification of products (goods and services) in Cyprus on the basis of the “Statistical Classification of Products by Activity in the European Economic Community (CPA 2008)”. The CPA 2008 product codes are directly related to activities as defined by NACE Rev. 2.

The CPA 2008 classification was prepared by the Statistical Office of the European Union (EUROSTAT), and is based on the Central Product Classification (CPC Ver. 2) developed by the United Nation’s Statistical Office.

The application of this statistical classification of products by activity is compulsory for all member states and for all surveys in which statistical data on products are collected.
