Latest Figures: Revenue from Tourism, Oct 2018

On the basis of the results of the Passenger Survey, revenue from tourism reached €293,8 mn in October 2018 compared to €277,1 mn in the corresponding month of the previous year, recording an increase of 6,0%.

For the period of January – October 2018 revenue from tourism is estimated at €2.562,3 mn compared to €2.493,8 mn in the corresponding period of 2017, recording an increase of 2,7%.

The expenditure per person for October 2018 reached €677,60 compared to €681,05 in the corresponding month of the previous year, recording a decrease of 0,5%. The expenditure per person/per day for October 2018 compared to October 2017 recorded an increase of 4,0% (from €73,23 to €76,13). A decrease of 4,3% was recorded in the average length of stay, from 9,3 days in October 2017 to 8,9 days in October 2018.

The expenditure per person for the period of January – October 2018 reached €697,54 compared to €731,63 in the corresponding period of the previous year, recording a decrease of 4,7%. The expenditure per person/per day for the period of January – October 2018 compared to the period of January – October 2017 also recorded a decrease of 1,5% (from €77,01 to €75,82).
