Latest Figures: Revenue from Tourism, Feb 2018

On the basis of the results of the Passenger Survey, revenue from tourism reached €52,7 mn in February 2018 compared to €46,6 mn in the corresponding month of the previous year, recording an increase of 13,1%.

For the period of January – February 2018 revenue from tourism is estimated at €91,1 mn compared to €82,0 mn in the corresponding period of 2017, recording an increase of 11,1%.

The expenditure per person for February 2018 reached €519,43 compared to €566,79 in the corresponding month of the previous year, recording a decrease of 8,4%. The expenditure per person/per day for February 2018 compared to February 2017 also recorded a decrease of 15,4%. An increase of 8,3% was recorded in the average length of stay, from 8,4 days in February 2017 to 9,1 days in February 2018.

The expenditure per person for the period of January – February 2018 reached €513,89 compared to €566,22 in the corresponding period of the previous year, recording a decrease of 9,2%. The expenditure per person/per day for the period of January – February 2018 compared to the period of January – February 2017 also recorded a decrease of 12,2% (from €64,34 to €56,47).
