LATEST FIGURES: SUMMARY OF PRODUCTION OF EGGS, JAN - DEC 2006
The number of eggs for hatching placed in incubation in December, reached 155.300 units regarding eggs for laying and 1.438.350 units in the case of eggs for meat. The eggs for laying recorded an increase of about 8% compared with the previous month, whereas the eggs for meat recorded a decrease of 18% compared to the previous month.
On the other hand, chicks used for laying decreased to 28.960 compared to 34.980 in November, in contrast with the chicks used for meat which increased to 1.211.150 from 1.122.550 in the previous month.
