Latest Figures: Revenue from Tourism, Apr 2018

On the basis of the results of the Passenger Survey, revenue from tourism reached €181,4 mn in April 2018 compared to €189,6 mn in the corresponding month of the previous year, recording a decrease of 4,3%.

For the period of January – April 2018 revenue from tourism is estimated at €382,5 mn compared to €357,7 mn in the corresponding period of 2017, recording an increase of 6,9%.

The expenditure per person for April 2018 reached €577,39 compared to €662,06 in the corresponding month of the previous year, recording a decrease of 12,8%. The expenditure per person/per day for April 2018 compared to April 2017 also recorded a decrease of 5,3%. A decrease of 8,0% was recorded in the average length of stay, from 8,8 days in April 2017 to 8,1 days in April 2018.

The expenditure per person for the period of January – April 2018 reached €559,54 compared to €625,32 in the corresponding period of the previous year, recording a decrease of 10,5%. The expenditure per person/per day for the period of January – April 2018 compared to the period of January – April 2017 also recorded a decrease of 6,3% (from €71,06 to €66,61).
